If you want to be a wonderful baseball hitter, you have to practice continuously and get your strategy in order. All of the best baseball hitters learn how to modify their stance and swing so that they obtain the result that they desire. In the following article we will discuss a few of the tips that will help you to make your hitting better. Also, in case you’re interested, something that has greatly improved my batting percentage is TACFIT Commando by Scott Sonnon, highly recommended.

In this age of high technology, video can help you become a better hitter. Have someone videotape you when you are at bat. This should not only be one time, but a couple of times so that you can get an idea of how you are performing at the plate up against various pitchers. Have a batting coach or someone who is knowledgeable about hitting go over the video with you. What is helpful about this method is that you can play back the video over and over, and focus on particular elements, such as your stance or swing. A lot of times you can determine the exact areas that you need to work on.

You should also carefully choose your equipment. Get your own bat for practicing your swing and hit. Pick a bat that’s comfortable and lightweight. This is because the power from your bat comes from the speed of the swing so the lighter the better. Many competition rules exclude metal bats but these are ideal for practice. Still, you should be comfortable with a wooden bat as well, because metal bats are not allowed in the major leagues and are banned from many other leagues as well for safety reasons, and because some believe they give hitters an unfair advantage.

Many baseball hitters have a frustrating hitting because they do not understand the strike zone and swing at off target balls. When you make a swing at the incorrect pitch, this makes you hit foul balls, ground balls or other weak balls. Don’t feel like you are under an obligation to swing your bat every time the pitcher pitches a ball.

It is crucial to be comfortable when you come to bat because the tension will make you swing at bad pitches and not watch the ball. When you view the pro games, look at how the hitters make contact or fail to contact with the different types of pitches and take into account how it might help your hitting. As a hitter, you should always be familiar with what works for you. If you have trouble hitting certain pitches, you may have to swing an instant sooner or later when the pitcher throws these. Observation plays a big part when it comes to hitting. If you keep the above hitting advice in mind, you should be able to make improvements in your game. Lastly, don’t forget to look over our TACFIT Commando review.

HOUSTON — The future began to look brighter and brighter for the Astros as the season progressed. The starting pitchers were throwing quality starts nearly every night, the youngsters were holding their own and the veterans were heating up at the plate.
Suddenly, the Astros were hurtling toward .500 and respectability and looking nothing like the team that stumbled out of the gate with two eight-game losing streaks in the first six weeks of the season, seemingly destined for 100 losses.
The Astros can’t help but be encouraged by their strong second half in 2010, a second half in which they had some of the best starting pitching in the Major Leagues. Barring injuries to Brett Myers, Wandy Rodriguez, J.A. Happ and Bud Norris, the rotation will coming back in tact in ‘11 and should put the Astros in position to keep improving.
“I’m really excited about next year,” Houston right fielder Hunter Pence said. “We’re feeling good about what we’ve got, and I know we have a really solid foundation. We’ve come together as a team and played good baseball, but you have to continue to prove it every day.”
Whether the Astros can contend may hinge on how well this year’s rookies perform next season in their sophomore campaigns. Houston had rookies starting at third base (Chris Johnson), shortstop (Angel Sanchez or Tommy Manzella), catcher (Jason Castro) and first base (Brett Wallace) for most of the second half.
Unless management decides it needs to add some offense at those positions, all of those youngsters will return to the starting lineup next year. Johnson had a terrific season and Sanchez hit for a good average, but Manzella, Castro and Wallace will need to show improvements at the plate.
“The fact we’ve seen a lot of the younger players perform at center stage in July and August and September gives us a better read on things,” general manager Ed Wade said. “We talk all the time in our game about not getting fooled by what you see in Spring Training or September, but we’ve had a chance to see these guys for the lion’s share of the second half. I think all that helps us formulate more definitive opinions on players.”
Of course, the Astros can’t afford to have sluggers Pence and Carlos Lee get off to poor starts like they did this year, either. Pence came around quicker than Lee, and both wound up with good home runs and RBI numbers because of their strong second halves.
The Astros still don’t hit for enough power, which could be one of the focuses of improvement in the offseason. Houston will have some payroll flexibility after ditching the contracts of Roy Oswalt and Lance Berkman, who was traded after the club decided it wouldn’t pick up his 2011 option.
The National League Central doesn’t figure to be a strong division next year, which could allow a young team like the Astros to continue their uprising.
Here’s where the roster stands heading into the offseason:

If you plan on coaching a football team, youre going to need to do three things. One, you could need to set a leadership tone of firm but fair. Two, you will need to work your players correctly. This means getting players timing down in the batting cage, getting the players used to tracking down fly balls and fielding grounders, and instructing players on heady base-running. Third, and most importantly, you should necessity baseball equipment. While the first two factors are important, you cant train anyone, play any games, or have a baseball team without baseball equipment. That being the case, lets look at where to begin.

In many cases, a greater budget will lead to better amenities and gear, which will lead to far better outcomes. But this isnt always the case, and its most likely something that is out of your hands anyway. Assuming you dont have access to a massive finances, all youre going to need are bases, baseballs, and bats.

As far as bases go, be sure to include home plate, and get numerous extra regular bases. This will allow for high quality base-running drills. Extra bases will also act as insurance in case a base gets ruined or lost. This is actually pretty easy to do. It happens most often when you leave the bases outside by accident. They can be tampered with, stolen, or broken. For baseballs, dont be cheap. Between foul balls being hit into the woods, players leaving with one by accident (or on purpose), and balls dropping out of the gear bag, youre going to need a lot of extras. Consider starting with two dozen baseballs. For bats, try to buy at least four different baseball bats. Three of these bats should be separate weights so everyone on the team will have opportunity to use a team bat. The fourth bat will be a fungo bat, which is a bat you will use for hitting practice balls to fielders.

The above is a great way to start your team off in the right route. purchasing the correct baseball equipment can and should make a difference in your groups success.
